Calfee Client Fleet Team Acquires Forklift Training Systems

Calfee client Fleet Team, a Cleveland-based fleet management consulting company in the material handling industry, recently announced its acquisition of Forklift Training Systems, headquartered in Newark, Ohio. The acquisition enables Fleet Team to leverage Forklift Training Systems exceptional reputation in the training and safety services space with Fortune 500 companies while maintaining the individual identities of both entities. The transaction closed March 28, 2024.

Fleet Team is a brand-independent consulting partner focused on optimizing businesses’ fleet management practices, specializing in logistics, data analytics, and vendor management. Founded in 2012, Fleet Team has over 300 supplier relationships and 25,000 globally managed assets.

Forklift Training Systems was founded in 1998 as a provider of safety training for operators and trainers of material handling equipment and mobile elevating work platforms. Forklift Training Systems also offers a variety of industry safety products.

Calfee’s legal team was led by Corporate and Finance Practice Group Co-Chair and Partner Brent M. Pietrafese and included Corporate and Finance Associate Attorney Anthony J. (Tony) Cox. Calfee’s Commercial Finance team included Partner Brian A. McMahon and Senior Counsel Jerry J. Thomas.
