Calfee Partner Brent Pietrafese Leads Legal Deal Team for TMG Performance Products in Sale to MiddleGround Capital

Brent M. Pietrafese, Partner and Vice Chair of Calfee's Corporate and Finance practice group, represented client, The Mifsud Group, owner and operator of TMG Performance Products, in connection with the sale of TMG to MiddleGround Capital. The Calfee deal team included Partner Gwen Gillespie Herman and Associates Anthony (Tony) J. Cox and Hayley N. Thomas.

TMG, a designer, manufacturer, and distributor of premium exhaust and air intakes for aftermarket automotive and marine vehicles, is comprised of three brands: CORSA Performance, Volant Performance, and CORSA Marine.

MiddleGround Capital is a private equity firm in Lexington, Kentucky, with reported assets under management of $2.4 billion. The acquisition of TMG was made through MiddleGround Capital’s platform company, Race Winning Brands, located in Mentor, Ohio.

The Mifsud Group owns and operates specialty manufacturing companies that provide value-added products and services utilizing proprietary technologies and processes.
