Calfee Intellectual Property attorney Jack R. Smith, Ph.D., J.D., has been selected for inclusion in the 2023 D.C. Super Lawyers and Rising Stars list. Super Lawyers is a comprehensive listing of outstanding lawyers in more than 70 areas of practice. Attorneys listed in D.C. Super Lawyers have been chosen by their peers as being among the best in their profession.

The selection process for Rising Stars is the same as Super Lawyers except that to be eligible for inclusion in Rising Stars, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. Each year, no more than 2.5% of the lawyers in each jurisdiction are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive the "Rising Stars" honor.
