Overview

Having sat as second chair in multiple trials including a jury trial, Lauren has significant experience with all phases of the litigation process, from client intake and trial through the appeal process. She is a skilled legal researcher and writer, with specific experience researching, drafting, and filing appellate briefs, pleadings, dispositive motions, and supporting memoranda. Lauren prepares preliminary evaluations of potential liability and exposure for clients. She also has significant experience defending depositions and preparing deponents.

Lauren joined Calfee’s Cleveland Office as an Associate in 2024 after serving for nearly four years as a Litigation Associate at an AmLaw 200 law firm, where she also served previously as a Law Clerk and Summer Associate.

Lauren earned her J.D., cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where she served as the Executive Notes Editor of the Case Western Reserve Law Review. While in law school, she served as a Teaching Assistant for the Appellate Practice class and as a Federal Judicial Extern for the Honorable Sara Lioi in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.

Lauren earned her B.A. in International Studies, summa cum laude, with Minors in French, History, Peace and Conflict Studies, and Political Science from Elon University.
