Jacob J. Bourquin

Jake collaborates with clients to achieve desirable outcomes in a range of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, sales, commercial contracts, corporate governance, and business formation and development.

Prior to joining Calfee as an Associate in 2024, Jake served as a Summer Associate with the firm. His experience included drafting, editing, and reviewing documents, including purchase sale agreements, commercial lease agreements, and asset purchase agreements in support of multi-million-dollar transactions.

Jake also served as a Law Clerk with an Ohio law firm and as an intern with the United States House of Representatives.

Jake earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Cleveland State University College of Law in 2024, where he served as chairperson for the Moot Court Team, managing editor for the Cleveland State Law Review, and as a mentor for the Peer Mentorship Program. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and a minor in Philosophy, cum laude, from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2021. He was a member of the Pi Sigma Epsilon Professional Business Fraternity.
