Overview
Daniella’s practice focuses on representing private equity sponsors as well as other private and public company clients in connection with structuring and negotiating complex M&A transactions, including domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, LBOs, recapitalizations, majority and minority investments, joint ventures, and other strategic corporate/commercial transactions. Her practice also includes a wide range of general corporate counseling.
In addition to representing numerous well-known private equity sponsor and public company clients, she also has served as lead counsel in the representation of numerous portfolio companies of private equity funds.
Prior to joining Calfee as a Partner in 2025, Daniella spent the first decade of her career, initially, as an Associate in Jones Day’s Mergers and Acquisitions/Corporate practice group and then as a Partner in Kirkland & Ellis LLP’s Mergers and Acquisitions/Private Equity practice group.
Daniella earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, where she also received the Order of the Coif, the Dean’s Scholar Award, and the Moritz Leadership Scholarship Award and was named a Public Service Fellow.
Daniella earned her B.A. in Finance, magna cum laude, from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.

Daniella’s experience includes the following representative transactions completed during her tenure at two top-ranked AmLAW 100 firms:
- Linden Capital Partners in the acquisition of BioVT, a market leading provider of mission-critical biological specimens for the pharmaceutical discovery and development market.
- Linden Capital Partners in the strategic investment in Vital Care (a leading franchisor of infusion therapy pharmacies) by funds managed by Berkshire Partners and Leonard Green & Partners.
- Waud Capital Partners in the sale of a controlling ownership stake in GI Alliance (a leading gastroenterology practice management (GIA) company), as part of a physician-led buyout and recapitalization valuing GIA at $2.2 billion and facilitated by an investment from funds managed by Apollo (NYSE: APO).
- Waud Capital Partners in the sale of Heart + Paw to Whistler Capital Partners.
- Insignia Capital Group in its sale of Market Performance Group (a highly regarded omnichannel commerce agency providing a full suite of outsourced services to blue-chip and high-growth CPG companies) to Sentinel Capital Partners.
- Bain Capital in its equity investment in II-VI’s acquisition of Coherent.
- Bain Capital in its investment in Kestra Medical Technologies.
- Bain Capital-backed Kestra Medical Technologies in connection with an investment co-led by Andera Partners, Ally Bridge Group, Longitude Capital, and Omega Funds with participation from T. Rowe Price Investment Management, Inc., Eventide Asset Management, and Gilmartin Capital.
- GTCR in the strategic investment in Resonetics, Inc. by funds managed by Carlyle, valuing the company at approximately $2.25 billion.
- Thoma Bravo in its acquisition of HCSS, a leading supplier of estimating, operations, and fleet management software.
- Shorehill Capital in its sale of Belt Power (the largest independent lightweight conveyor belting and automation solutions platform) to Platte River Equity.
