Calfee is proud to be a sponsor of Elise’s Corner, Love | Hope | Cure Gala on Friday, October 6 at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn. The gala features a cocktail hour, dinner, and program in support of Elise’s Corner.

Elise’s Corner was developed to spread awareness of Alexander Disease by creating a support network for individuals, families, and friends affected by AxD and other Leukodystrophies as well as aiding research efforts identifying treatments, therapies, and ultimately, a cure for AxD and other Leukodystrophies.

In November of 2014, Elise Bonsky, then a 3-year-old girl, was diagnosed with Alexander Disease (AxD), a terminal neurological disorder. Elise’s parents were determined to do something to help their child and all others affected by AxD. On Mother’s Day in 2015, the Bonskys launched the Elise’s Corner Fund of Akron Community Foundation.
