Jaclyn M. Vary, Partner with Calfee's Estate and Succession Planning and Administration practice will serve as moderator and Michael W. Bowen, Associate in the firm’s Government Relations and Legislation and Litigation practice groups, will be a panelist at Reach Out Live on October 27, 2020. The event is sponsored by the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association's Reach Out for Nonprofits and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
The panel of volunteer attorneys will discuss "Political Activism, Lobbying and Free Speech for Nonprofits." In the weeks before the election, nonprofits and the attorneys who advise them need to know what is allowed under the law, what crosses the line into advocacy, and what falls under the aegis of free speech.
The Reach Out Live virtual event is open to all nonprofit leaders, attorneys and board members.
Registration is required; CLE credit is available to attorney participants.
