Calfee is proud to sponsor the Fire and Focus Foundation, Inc.’s 2018 A Beacon of Light Scholarship, honoring Congresswoman Joyce Beatty. Since 2000, Fire and Focus has been committed to supporting and providing annual scholarships to deserving students. Fire and Focus has provided hundreds of leadership scholarships to women, young leaders, and organizations in the areas of education, healthcare, civic and community advancement, and corporate/business engagement. The scholarship presentation will take place during the 48th Annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation (CBCF) Legislative Conference.
Since its establishment in 1976, the CBCF has made significant progress in efforts to develop leaders, inform public policy, and educate the public on economic development, empowerment, education, public health, and the environment.
