He counsels medical device manufacturers and durable medical equipment suppliers. Michael also advises corporate clients, candidates for office, and organizations on compliance with campaign finance, electioneering, lobbying registration and tax-exempt organization requirements.

Michael is a frequent author and speaker as well as an active member of the community. Michael is chair of the Board of Trustees of the Summit County Community Partnership, vice-president of the Alumni Association Board of Western Reserve Academy, secretary of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Health Law Section and past chair of the Health Law Section of the Akron Bar Association. In 2018, Michael was selected to participate in the American Health Lawyers Association Leadership Development Program.

He participated in the 2016 Ohio State Bar Association’s Leadership Academy and was recognized as a “30 for the Future” Young Professional by the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce in 2015. He has been selected to the Ohio Rising Stars List by Super Lawyers for Health Care from 2013 – 2018 and was the recipient of the Richard A. and Brandon S. Collier Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Law-Medicine curriculum at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

He joined Calfee in 2016.
