Katherine earned her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. She also holds a B.A. in Chemistry and History from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
Her experience includes more than 10 years with Clopay Corporation in Mason, Ohio, where she prepared and prosecuted U.S. and foreign patent applications, evaluated IP portfolios of potential acquisitions, evaluated invention disclosures, and initiated and supervised freedom-to-practice opinions from outside attorneys.
Katherine also worked as a research chemist for International Paper and Midwest Research Institute.
She joined Calfee as a patent agent in 2013. She is not licensed to practice law in Ohio.
