Dave has significant experience in a variety of mechanical and electrical technological fields, including locking devices, electronic access control systems, cabinet and garage storage systems, valves and fittings, lighting fixtures, medical devices, building materials, filtration systems, welding systems and product packaging.
He is an active member of the Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association, and has presented “patent basics” seminars for Cleveland State University and the Cuyahoga Small Business Development Center. A magna cum laude graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law, he received his M.B.A. from Cleveland State University and his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
Dave was employed with the Swagelok Company as a technical service and product evaluations engineer for seven years. He joined Calfee in 2005, and became a partner in 2014.
