Malisheia Douglas assisted with and attended the YWCA Circle of Women Annual Breakfast in the Fall. “The Circle - Breakfast” is designed to bring together a committed group of people -- primarily women -- to pool their resources and raise critical funds to support the vital needs of young women transitioning out of foster care into independence. The breakfast supports our Nurturing Independence and Aspirations program, allowing supporters to directly impact the lives of formerly homeless young adults transitioning to self-sufficiency. Dollars raised have allowed YWCA to pay for supportive services for these young people, giving them the best possible chance for self-sufficiency and a positive exit from Independence Place.
