Virginia “GiGi” Benjamin, chair of Calfee’s Public Law and Finance group, has been named a “Woman of Note” by “Crain’s Cleveland Business.” She is one of 15 women named to this year’s class. The annual “Crain’s” award honors women who have made a difference in Northeast Ohio. GiGi was selected for her professional accomplishments and for her steadfast volunteer work on behalf of the Cleveland Zoo and the United Way. Earlier in May, GiGi also was one of 12 finalists in the 2012 Athena Awards, presented by Inside Business magazine and designed to recognize women who contribute to a better way of life in region.
