Ciera M. Parish, associate in Calfee’s Real Estate practice group, serves as one of the coaches for Cleveland Marshall College of Law’s Moot Court Team. The team she coaches won first place at the annual August A. Rendigs National Product Liability Moot Court Competition on March 25, 2017, defeating a team from UC Davis School of Law in the Championship Round. The team argued before 4 federal and 7 state supreme court judges from 8 states including Ohio Supreme Court Justice Terrence O’Donnell and Judge James Carr from the U.S. District Court Northern District of Ohio. This competition is open to 30 teams from ABA-accredited law schools, and is the only national moot court competition devoted to the field of products liability law.
Ciera was on the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Moot Court Team and served as Vice-Chair of the Team while she earned her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law.
